Walk and talk
Frinton seafront and the greensward
We walk side by side at whatever pace suits you. Some people find it easier to say difficult things when they are not sitting opposite someone.
Counselling in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex
An hour a week to think out loud, with someone whose only job is to listen properly. Along the seafront if you would rather move while you talk, or indoors if you would not.
Three ways to meet
Frinton seafront and the greensward
We walk side by side at whatever pace suits you. Some people find it easier to say difficult things when they are not sitting opposite someone.
Frinton-on-Sea
A quiet, private room with two chairs and a clock you can see. The usual fifty minutes, indoors, in the warm.
Video or phone
For weeks when travel is hard, or if you live outside Essex and want to keep working together.
About Lucia
I was a journalist before I was anything else, writing for trade magazines, then for yoga, travel and wellbeing titles and for The Guardian. In 2007 I trained as a yoga teacher in northern California, and I have been teaching yoga and mindfulness ever since, in Essex, abroad and online.
I am now training as a person-centred counsellor. My work is supervised, my practice is insured, and I am a student member of the BACP. Training is not a lesser version of the work. It means you get a counsellor who is being watched closely, thinking hard, and charging less than they will in a few years' time.
What people bring
You do not need a diagnosis, a crisis, or a tidy explanation of why you are coming. Most people start with something like "I'm not sure where to begin", which is a perfectly good place to begin.
A free 20 minutes, by phone or video, so you can hear what I sound like and ask whatever you need to ask. No obligation to book anything after it.
